Profile

During his time at the Aarhus School of Architecture and since graduation, Mikael has been working nationally and internationally with architectural design on listed buildings, competitions and on new built in a listed context – from consultations, feasibility studies, presentations, planning and detailed design to on-site experience and completion.
Adding to the practical side by being a guest tutor, giving lectures at architectural courses and conferences and by publishing articles on restoration and architectural transformation for i.e. the
Journal of Architectural Conservation, England.

London

From 2008–2014, Mikael lived and worked as an architect and architectural photographer in London, England. Here he worked on a number of Grade 1 and 2* Listed buildings throughout Britain for Matthew Lloyd Architects. Being the project architect for among others projects, the restoration of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA), which in 2013 was awarded a RIBA London Award and The RIBA London English Heritage Award 2013 for Sustaining the Historic Environment. The project was shortlisted for the Wood Awards 2013 and the Lighting Design Awards 2013.

Architectural Photographer

With 10 years of professional experience, Mikael also works as an awarded architectural photographer throughout Europe with both national and international clients.
