Elgaard Architecture at Circular Build Forum 2023

Under the theme “Circular renovation and its importance now and in the future”, architect Julian Jahn will be presenting our project Bredgade 40, which is a restoration and refurbishment of Danish modernist architect Svenn Eske Kristensen’s office domicile for Baltica Insurance from 1958.

Julian will discuss and demonstrate how various interventions in the historic building has been analyzed and qualified in a way where sustainability parameters are thought of as an integral part of the overall analysis of the building’s conservation values. The integral thinking applies at all scales from urban context, over primary constructions, to detailing, as well as in relation to the future functionality and flexibility of the building.
