Rededication of Frederiksberg Church

On 13 August 2017, Frederiksberg Church was rededicated after comprehensive restoration works conducted by Elgaard Architecture. The church was inaugurated with a special festive service by the bishop of Copenhagen, Peter Skov-Jakobsen. The major intervention of the church restoration consisted of removing the lower gallery, which was added approximately 45 years after the construction due to a shortage of seating. This intervention has restored the original geometry of the church space and improved the daylight intake within the church significantly. Hence, the room now appears as a bright and welcoming framework for the parish’s activities and events.
